053SCHOOL OF ASIA 2121世せい紀きアジア学がく部ぶ Features of the SchoolTo deepen mutual understanding with other Asian societies, Kokushikan University has launched a new school, transcending conventional frameworks to respond to the globalizing Asia.Kokushikan University has long been looking at other Asian societies as important partners to cooperate with ever since it was founded, with the spirit of mutual understanding, coexistence, and cultural relativism. The School of Asia 21 was established in 2002 with its view toward embodying this founding spirit in a contemporary context, based on a new concept of education. The goal of the school is to expand students’ capacity to understand different cultures, foster individual talents capable of transcending the limits of their societies, and play important roles in a global community. For international students, small-scale Japanese language classes with different levels of proficiency, as well as courses designed to train future Japanese instructors, will be provided. Opportunities to interact with local communities are also available to international students. Educational GoalsWe aim at practical, experience-based education in Asian studies. We train talented individuals to understand the 21st-century Asia and to take global job opportunities.In the School of Asia 21, the first year is spent building overall understanding of contemporary Asian societies, while in the second year students select one of the three specialized courses of study: the Asia Society Course, the Asia Business Course, or the Asia Culture Course. The school emphasizes on pragmatic disciplines, and its educational methods are creative and innovative. In order to enhance our unique education, a variety of fieldwork, internship training programs in Japan and overseas, and volunteer work are duly integrated into the curriculum. Learning does not take place only in the classroom. Our students visit other countries, and gain direct, personal, hands-on feeling of Asia’s dynamism to learn the actual realities of politics, economics, and cultures on the streets. The School of Asia 21 trains people who can be active in any type of public institutions from international organizations to local governments, individuals equipped with acute business sense, and individuals good at cultural exchange. 学部の特色アジア諸しょ国こくとの真しんの相そう互ご理り解かいを深ふかめるために。時じ代だいの要よう請せいに対たい応おうした、既き存ぞんの枠わく組ぐみを超こえた新あたらしい学がく部ぶ。国こく士し舘かん大だい学がくは創そう設せつ当とう時じから、日に本ほんの伝でん統とうを尊そん重ちょうしつつ、アジアと共きょう存ぞんすることに注ちゅう力りょくしてきました。建けん学がくの精せい神しんを今いまに生いかすという観かん点てんから、2002年ねんに新しん設せつされたのが、今いままでの学がく部ぶイメージとは異ことなる新あたらしいコンセプトを持もった「21世せい紀きアジア学がく部ぶ」です。本ほん学がく部ぶの目もく標ひょうは学がく生せいの異い文ぶん化かに対たいする理り解かい力りょくを高たかめ、グローバルな環かん境きょうの中なかで、それぞれの社しゃ会かいの枠わくを越こえて重じゅう要ような役やく割わりを担になうことのできる人じん材ざいを養よう成せいしていくことです。留りゅう学がく生せいのために少しょう人にん数ずう・能のう力りょく別べつの日に本ほん語ご教きょう育いくを行おこない、将しょう来らい日に本ほん語ご教きょう師しになる方かた々がたのための日に本ほん語ご教きょう師し養よう成せい課か程ていもあります。留りゅう学がく生せいを対たい象しょうに地ち域いき社しゃ会かいとの交こう流りゅうを行おこなう日に本ほん研けん修しゅう科か目もくを設せっ定ていしています。 学びの目的アジアをキャンパスに、「体たい感かん的てき・実じっ践せん的てき」教きょう育いくを目め指ざす。21世せい紀きのアジアを読よみ解とき、新あらたな就しゅう業ぎょう機き会かいに挑ちょう戦せんする人じん材ざいを育いく成せい。21世せい紀きアジア学がく部ぶは、1年ねん次じで21世せい紀きのアジアを理り解かいする土ど台だいを作つくり、2年ねん次じから3つのコース（アジア社しゃ会かいコース・アジアビジネスコース・アジア文ぶん化かコース）に分わかれて専せん門もん科か目もくを学まなびます。リアリティある教きょう育いくを重じゅう視しする本ほん学がく部ぶでは、教きょう育いく方ほう法ほうも従じゅう来らいとはまったく違ちがいます。「体たい感かん的てき・実じっ践せん的てき」教きょう育いくを目め指ざし、さまざまなフィールドワークやインターンシップ、国こく内ない外がいの研けん修しゅう、ボランティアなどを取とり入いれています。教きょう室しつの中なかだけで学まなぶのではなく、世せ界かい各かっ国こくに出でかけ、五ご感かんを使つかって、身からだ体を使つかって、躍やく動どうするアジアに直じかに触ふれ、路ろ地じ裏うらから生いきた政せい治じ・経けい済ざいや文ぶん化かを学まなびます。国こく際さい機き関かんから地ち方ほう自じ治ち体たいにいたる公こう共きょう機き関かんの諸しょ分ぶん野やで活かつ躍やくできる人じん材ざい、ビジネス感かん覚かくを備そなえた人じん材ざい、文ぶん化か交こう流りゅうなどの面めんにも通つうじる人じん材ざいを育いく成せいします。Department of Asia 21 ［21世せい紀きアジア学がっ科か］
