Teachers must draw forth the greatest potential of their pupils. In this major, which stresses practical training through small-group seminars and student teaching, and by building strong relationships with their faculty supervisors, students deepen their understanding of elementary education, develop their sense of mission and their abilities as educators, and mature as human beings. Improvement of teaching skills is important, but even more important is to develop personality as a teacher, which is the foundation of the educational process. Our graduates are active in elementary schools and kindergartens throughout the country.初しょ等とう教きょう育いくとは、人にん間げんの生しょう涯がいの基き礎そを築きずく大たい切せつなもの。その教きょう師しには子こどもたちの可か能のう性せいを最さい大だい限げんに引ひき出だす能のう力りょくが求もとめられています。本ほんコースでは、少しょう人にん数ずうのゼミ、模も擬ぎ授じゅ業ぎょうなど実じっ習しゅう重じゅう視しの教きょう育いくシステムにより、学がく生せいと担たん当とう教きょう員いんが人にん間げん関かん係けいを築きずいていくことを通とおして、初しょ等とう教きょう育いく領りょう域いきに関かんする学まなびを深ふかめ、教きょう育いく者しゃとしての使し命めい感かんや資し質しつ・能のう力りょくを育そだて、人にん間げん性せいそのものも高たかめていきます。全ぜん教きょう科かの指し導どう力りょくの向こう上じょうはもとより、その土ど台だいとなる教きょう師しとしての人じん格かくを磨みがき上あげることが大たい切せつだからです。本ほん専せん攻こうの多た数すうの先せん輩ぱいが、全ぜん国こくの小しょう学がっ校こうや幼よう稚ち園えんで活かつ躍やくしています。＊1=Freshman, 2=Sophomore, 3=Junior, 4=Senior
