The ability to correctly interpret and apply laws requires dialectical and rhetorical skills that can attest to their social utility. In this department, emphasis is placed on creating a space in which to learn these skills via the Socratic method, and to train for their practical and social application through moot courts and legal debates. The aim is to cultivate legal reasoning and decision-making ability with a view toward training legal specialists. Individuals with a legal education are in demand in a number of professional fields, and our graduates are active in legal circles, government, and business.法ほう律りつとは社しゃ会かい生せい活かつに不ふ可か欠けつなルールを定さだめたものです。法ほうを正せい当とうに解かい釈しゃくし適てき用ようするためには、社しゃ会かい的てきな妥だ当とう性せいを証しょう明めいする論ろん法ぽうや説せっ得とく術じゅつが必ひつ要ようです。本ほん学がっ科かでは、その訓くん練れんの場ばとして「対たい話わ教きょう育いく」に重じゅう点てんをおき、さらに「模も擬ぎ裁さい判ばん」や「法ほう律りつ討とう論ろん会かい」などを実じっ施しして、具ぐ体たい的てきかつ実じっ社しゃ会かいに即そくして学まなびます。その中なかで時じ代だいの流ながれに対たい応おうできる法ほう的てき思し考こう力りょくと判はん断だん力りょくを養やしない、法ほうの専せん門もん知ち識しきをもったスペシャリストの育いく成せいを目め指ざします。法ほう律りつ知ち識しきを備そなえた人じん材ざいは幅はば広ひろい職しょく種しゅで求もとめられており、卒そつ業ぎょう後ごの進しん路ろは法ほう曹そう界かい、公こう務む員いんから民みん間かん企き業ぎょうまで多た彩さいです。＊1=Freshman, 2=Sophomore, 3=Junior, 4=Senior
