There are about 800 universities in Japan, but only a few value “the heart of Japanese” as the spirit of school foundation as Kokushikan University.In the year 2017, Kokushikan had celebrated its centennial anniversary. In 1917, Mr. Tokujiro Shibata established Kokushikan Private Educational Institution with his passion. His passion and spirits are succeeded by today’s 7 undergraduate and 10 graduate school and over 12,000 students after hundred and six years.To the foreign students! I believe our school spirits can be found not only in Japanese, but also in people all over the world. Suppressing selfish desires, respecting spiritual culture, caring for the others and valuing morality should be essential to all human and not whether to where the person is from.
