At the same time we are facing abnormal weather events due to changes in the global environment, and more recently the Russian invasion of Ukraine. As such, we find ourselves in an unprecedented and unpredictable situation. However, even in the face of tragedy and despair, humanity must not be allowed to regress into the past. The wisdom of mankind lies in its ability to learn from the past, overcome adversity and carve out a brighter future, and this is also the responsibility of those of us living today. What makes us human is that even when we make mistakes, we possess the rational capacity to be remorseful and repair the damage we have caused. Of paramount importance is having friends around the world who understand and are compassionate toward one another. Graduated from the doctoral course in political science at the Graduate School of Political Science, Kokushikan University in 1984, and became a Doctor of Political Science (Kokushikan University) in 2006. Employed as an assistant at the Institute for the Study of Religions in 1984. Became an instructor at the Institute for the Study of Religion and Culture in 1987, and served as professor at the Faculty of Political Science and Economics II in 2002. In 2003 he served as professor at the Faculty of Political Science and Economics, and was head of the Graduate School of Political Science in 2012. He worked as Director of the Department of Political Science from 2002 to 2003 and 2006 to 2008, and as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Political Science and Economics from 2003 to 2005 and 2007 to 2010.In December 2015 he was appointed President of Kokushikan University. Served as Director of the Japan Association of Comparative Constitutional Law from 2014. 2002 Academic Award: Received the Joji Tagami Award (The Japan Association of Comparative Constitutional Law).His specialty is the political history of the United States.佐さ藤とう 圭けい一いち 国士舘大学学長1955年青森県生まれ。1984年国士舘大学大学院政治学研究科政治学専攻博士課程修了、2006年政治学博士（国士舘大学）。1984年宗教研究所助手として入職。1987年宗教文化研究所講師、2002年政経学部二部教授、2003年政経学部教授、2012年大学院政治学研究科長、政経学部政治学科主任を2期（2002年から2003年、2006年から2008年）、同学部教務主任を3期（2003年から2004年、2004年から2005年、2007年から2010年）務める。2015年12月国士舘大学学長に就任。2014年から比較憲法学会理事。2002年受賞学術賞：田上穣治賞（比較憲法学会）。専門はアメリカ政治史。CONTENTS ［目もく次じ］
